Career Presentations for All Ages
The West Florida AHEC Health Career presentations are designed to
provide students with useable information on the numerous careers
available within the health career field. Most students have several
misconceptions regarding the health career field. Students think that
you have to be a doctor or a nurse in order to be in a health career.
Most students also have the common misconception that in order to work
in the health field they must attend school for 8 years past high
school. Our mission is to dispel both of these misconceptions by
exploring the vast array of career possibilities as well as presenting
the required amount of schooling for each of the careers.
These presentations are suitable for middle and high school
students as well as entry level college students.
