  • Valuable clinical rotations that can help you decide if a career working with the medically underserved is right for you

Student Housing

As a West Florida AHEC sponsored health professions student, you may be entitled to temporary housing accommodations in our service area. This housing is currently available to health professions students from University of Florida free of charge (discounted charge for other students from out of state or other programs) and is located near community training sites in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton Counties. This helps eliminate unnecessary travel as well as provide students with the opportunity to live in and near the community they serve. The apartments come fully furnished and include the following items in each room:

  • Kitchen: includes pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, microwave, toaster, coffee maker
  • Living/Dining Room: TV with very basic cable, VCR, appropriate furniture
  • Bedrooms: you will have to bring your own twin sheets, blankets and pillows
